Finger nail fungus

Any person a third person in the soil encounters a problem such as laying and peeling nails, clouding the tile - this is onychomycosis.The disease affects different age groups.The nails of the nails (the photos appear below), quickly spreads and adapts to new conditions.

We will consider in more detail the main factors of the occurrence, types and methods of treatment of fungi at home.

ClaSSIFICaTION

The causative agents of this disease are saprophytes, mold fungi, candida and other pathogenic microorganisms.

The main types of pathogens of the disease:

  1. Epiderrnophyton hair.Anthropophilic fungi, which affects the bold layer of the epidermis.After infection on the skin, stains of the pink peel with characteristic vague ends begin to appear.Transmitted by touching contact or through household items.
  2. Trichophyton rubrum and trichophyton mentagophytes.These are two fungi -like peaks from the gender trichophyton.They have a toxic effect, are able to stay in a long time sleep, and after exposure to negative factors to activate.The first signs of the disease are itching between the fingers and an unpleasant odor, a rash appears and later peel.The color of integration can remain unchanged.

Mycologists distinguish four types of mycosis, which can be caused by different foot fungi:

  1. Deleted shape is easier.It is characterized by trivial itching between the fingers and peeling from the skin light.The reason is Candida saprofit.Its incubation period is 2 weeks.Most often, patients simply do not notice signs of infection and are fungal distributors.Even in the absence of treatment, the disease passes by itself.
  2. Squamine -hyperkeratotic.The advanced shape of this fungus in the foot can cause the appearance of deep cracks and damage to the tissue to the ankle.It is worth noting that in the initial stage of the disease there are no external manifestations.The only one does not itch and does not harm, occasionally small cracks arise;
  3. Intriguing or interactive - more common.Most often, the primary lesion begins with folding the thumb and finger, then spreading along the leg.The possible causes of the occurrence are contact with an infected person (surface), damage and disregard for personal hygiene rules;
  4. Double or vesicular forms - mycosis, which provokes the appearance in the epidermis of local rashes and erosions.It is transmitted exclusively by the patient and is extremely rarely diagnosed on the skin of the feet.It is believed that this fungus likes the brushes and palms more.In the absence of proper treatment due to the effects of pathogenic microorganisms, mycotic eczema occurs.

Over time, fungal lesions progress, though it happens extremely slowly.Sometimes people live with mushrooms for decades and begin to worry only when the nail completely leaves, painful sensations appear.There are several stages in total.

  1. Initial phase.The fungal infection has just begun to destroy the nail, its color changes, transparency disappears.
  2. The appearance of hyperkeratosis.This phenomenon, when with mycosis, the nail starts to thicken, becomes very dense, sometimes grows tightly.At the end of this phase, the nail plate becomes loose, sometimes its upper layers can simply remove the finger.
  3. In the next stage, the infection of the fungus moves under the nail.The cuticle is separated from the nail plate, the nail roller can be fried, swell and inflamed.
  4. The direction phase.The nail is atrophied, it completely changes the color.At this stage, the nail plate is often completely removed or destroyed.

It is advisable to suspect the nail fungus in the early stages, in an advanced form is difficult and treated for a long time, sometimes it is necessary to completely remove the nail plate.Do not direct mycosa.

Symptoms

Onychomycosis most often affects nails in the legs, hands suffer less frequently.The disease begins with the thumb and little finger (the outer edge is affected), touching smoothly on all the plates.

The main symptoms of onycomycosis will help determine the infection of the fungus (see photo):

  • the appearance of strips and stains of a white or green color under the nails;
  • Tile cloud, a change in its color (from yellow to dark brown);
  • redness and peel of the skin around the nail;
  • the appearance of roughness in the legs and between the fingers;
  • Mold formation on the nails.

To know how to know the disease at an early stage, you can see the main manifestations of the nail fungus in the picture.This will at least understand how the development of the infection begins, and in the event of similar signs, consult a doctor.

In any case, the initial inspection of the feet is performed independently.In order not to confuse the fungus with potential corn or ordinary mechanical damage to the foot, we recommend studying photos of nail fungus in the initial stage.

Troubleshooting

There are more than 50 subspecies of fungi that cause onycomycosis, so you can accurately determine the species only in laboratory conditions.Preliminary diagnosis at home is possible from the second stage when symptoms appear.

  1. It is necessary to inspect the nail plates to determine the localization of a fungus infection.
  2. The other criterion is the form of change of nail thickness, the presence of peel scales and peeling.
  3. The determining factor can be the color of the infection seals.
  4. It is necessary to evaluate the condition of the skin and hair at the time of detection of onychomycosis: many fungi first affect them, and then switch to nail plates.

In some cases, the pathogen is some types of fungal infection.Dermatophyte combinations with fungi or yeast molds with candidates are possible.

Treatment of nail fungus in the initial stage

In the event of such a disease, 3 treatment options are possible, it all depends on the stage in which the fungus is located.So this is:

  • the use of local medicines;
  • the use of oral drugs;
  • Combined therapy.
    Nails
  1. Local drugs are represented by various ointments, gel, suspensions, emulsions and other types of external drugs.They only act on lesions and do not penetrate the blood.They are mainly used in the early stages of dermatomycosis development or with a small focus of infection.Treatment, as a rule, is from one week to several months, depending on the neglect of the lesion.
  2. Periral medicines are taken inside and affect the pathogen from the inner part of the body.They have side effects and affect not only the affected area but also the body as a whole.In some cases, there is plenty of use, sometimes a course of treatment is required.They are used for severe lesions and advanced stages of fungal diseases.
  3. Combined therapy is most often used.The action of external medication reduces the intensity of the symptoms, accelerates the healing of damaged areas, and the tablets act from within the pathogen.

With any treatment options, the course of therapy cannot be interrupted.The drug use diagram and duration is determined by the doctor.As a rule, treatment continues after the disappearance of the symptoms and external manifestations of mycosis for a few more days (up to one week).

Spray and ointments against fungi

If the nail fungus is not neglected but is in the initial phase, you should try to use spray and ointments that help soften the affected area.In this case, fungal spores die under the influence of drugs.

For nail treatment, choose a type of drug.It is not recommended to alternate, change funds, such manipulations will lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of therapeutic effects.Before starting use, be sure to read the contraindications.Pregnant women and people suffering from individual intolerance to use antifungal spray for treatment.

Before applying spray or oil, it should be removed as much as possible with a nail fungal area using a special file that comes with the medicine.With a nail scale from the alcohol solution with water, a layer of varnish is applied, which should be changed every few days.Before the procedure, you can take a bath with soap-soda foot.The varnish is removed in the same way as decorative, using organic solvents.

Traditional medicine

Nail mycosis at the initial stage can also be treated with home methods.Folk remedies are good assistants in complex disease therapy.

    Mikose of the nail
  1. Sea salt.This tool is best combined with conservative treatment methods.Sea salt baths - recommended preparatory procedure before applying local funds.You should take a teaspoon of salt for a small amount of hot water, keep your feet for about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Baths from a decoction of vertical branches are used 3 times a week.To prepare, collect new seedlings, finely chop, get 500 gr.raw materials and pour 2 liters of water.Simmer, reduce the heat and resist for 10 minutes.After cooling the cooking, strain it and keep your feet for 20 minutes.
  3. Tea tree oil.Damaged nails should be lubricated before bedtime, billed and removed overnight.In the morning, remove the bandages, clean the nail from the keratinized layer and again drip the tea tree oil, but no longer wrap it.It is important to continue treatment until a healthy nail starts to grow.
  4. Acetic baths.In 2 liters of hot water (37 degrees), dilute 5 tablespoons.l.9%vinegar.The legs should grow in such a solution for at least half an hour.Next, clean the softened, keratinized nail layer with a file, and treat the affected areas on the feet and between the fingers with a pumice.After such manipulation, it is recommended to apply a cream or antifungal solution.Procedures do regularly (1-2 times daily) within a month.
  5. Celandine.This plant has long been used against nail and skin diseases.It is necessary to treat it carefully because of the active "cauterizing" effect.Cut juice, decoctions and oils based on this plant are used against fungi.

Laser therapy

Laser therapy is one of the latest methods of treating nail fungus, especially in later stages.This method is an alternative to surgical removal, after which a long period of recovery continues.With laser treatment, healthy tissue is intact, during the procedure the patient does not suffer pain and other unpleasant sensations.

Laser treatment against: high pricing, among the procedures you need to take a break, only a qualified dermatologist can perform them.Regardless of the chosen method of therapy, it is necessary to follow all the rules of personal hygiene.Nail mushrooms can be repeated, treatment will not be effective if this is not done.

In treating nail fungus on the foot, you need to regularly perform hygienic procedures, often change socks, ventilation shoes behind socks.The same rules should be followed so that nail mycosis does not occur again after treatment.

PREVENTION

Of course, it is better to warn the mushrooms than to fight its consequences for a long time.

How to protect yourself from fungi:

  1. In the first signs of fungi (itching, redness, peel), you need to lubricate the legs abundantly with a special antibacterial and moisturizing oil with effect;
  2. Before any visit to the pool, sauna, gym or other place to remove, it is important to treat the skin with protective cream;
  3. Regularly process shoes, wash if possible and dry it in fresh air.It is not necessary to use special compositions for this.Most products can be wiped out with alcohol or other antibacterial solutions.

To strengthen the skin and ensure local immunity, a recipe for a preventative mixture based on onions is appropriate.One onion is rubbed with two tablespoons of honey.The resulting pasta is applied to the skin of the feet and palms.It is advisable to resist the mask for 30 minutes.Repeat every other day.
